Chelsey Brown

Chelsey Brown is a Colorado native and has practiced as a mental health therapist and counselor in the Aurora and Denver communities. She is a graduate of the University of Denver and received her master’s degree of International Disaster Psychology with an emphasis in Trauma and Global Mental Health. Chelsey offers therapeutic services to young children, teens, and adults affected by trauma and have difficulties with self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and suicidality. 

Clinical Experience 

Chelsey has served as a youth treatment counselor at a residential treatment facility working with children and teens who endured severe trauma, abuse, and neglect. Chelsey has also served as a co-therapist at a drug treatment center where she provided counseling services to individuals affected by substance use and domestic violence. Chelsey has also served as a student therapist providing counseling to individuals affected by traumatic events including grief & loss, physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, difficult life transitions, and natural disasters. Lastly, Chelsey has worked in schools as a school-based therapist providing individual therapy to children and teens from various cultural backgrounds struggling with anger management, grief & loss, suicidality, self-harm behaviors, self-esteem issues, trauma, social skill difficulties, anxiety, depression, difficulties with perfectionism, and difficulties with feeling a sense of belonging. Chelsey values each of these experiences and looks forward to walking alongside clients during their therapeutic journey.

​Practice Style

Chelsey highly values meeting clients where they’re at. She provides a warm, relational, client-centered, and trauma informed space that focuses on empowerment, safety, and collaboration with her clients. She enjoys providing a space where clients’ voices and stories are heard and validated. Chelsey believes that when clients are met with empathy and validation, they can begin to do that for themselves and others.
