Laura Christoff

Laura Christoff (she/her) has practiced as a mental health therapist in North and West Denver communities. She is a graduate of the University of Denver and received her Master of Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health. She received additional specialized training in integrated healthcare as a participant in the CLIMB@DU program. Laura offers therapy services to teens (13+) and adults wanting to work on substance use, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, self-acceptance, and trauma.

Laura’s approach balances warmth and collaboration with humor and honesty. She embodies cultural humility in her work with clients and enjoys learning from them. She provides a queer- and neurodiverse-affirming space that welcomes every client who works with her. Her framework is rooted in acceptance and commitment therapy to help clients explore their feelings and values while cultivating their strengths and skills to move towards their goals for wellbeing. She also uses motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness techniques to help clients feel equipped to cope with life stressors and move towards their goals.

Clinical Experience

Laura has multiple years of experience as a therapist and case manager at various community mental health agencies. She is experienced working with teens and adults on a wide range of mental health concerns, including suicidality, trauma, anger, self-esteem, grief, substance use, boundaries, and communication. She follows a whole-person approach and draws on her case management experience to help connect clients to resources in the community.
